At the crime scene, Detective Sarah Frankfurter is horrified to realize that her new colleague, Jakob, is the man she had a one-night stand with the night before, and that they must now work together to solve a murder case. Teaming up with her colleague Milli, they investigate the murder of lawyer Nicole Geissner, who had been a strong advocate for relaxing the Embryo Protection Act after years of unsuccessfully trying to have a child herself.
