Europe: La bataille des sièges

2026 · 65 min · Documentary

Discover the great history of Europe through the small stories of its capitals: Strasbourg, Luxembourg, and Brussels. Three cities that host the main European institutions were chosen after an unfinished battle between national interests, visions of Europe and personalities determined to impose their views. What emerges from this little-known history is the face of Europe today, with its successes and failures, its symbols and its search for legitimacy, which is still shaky. And yet it is running… Colette Flesch, Jean-Claude Juncker, Louis Michel, and Catherine Trautmann share insights into the battles, compromises, and personalities that forged today’s European institutions.
