In the small town of New Frisco in Alberta, Canada, a stranger named Norton arrives, checks into the most expensive hotel room, and begins courting a saleswoman named Doris. Inspector de Lacy also becomes very concerned about Norton, even though there is no evidence of any wrongdoing.
