How have states favoured the richest in order to keep them at home? How have they come to be so widely backed by an ideology that extols the merits of “trickle-down” economics? Why are the ultra-rich fighting at all costs against bills like the Zucman Tax, which would make it possible to tax their wealth and, according to its advocates, restore tax fairness on an international scale?
